All three, full-length novels in the Building a Hero trilogy from USA Today Bestseller Tasha Black.

From Book 1 - Reconstructed

Westley Worthington has it all. Piles of money, good looks, a head for business, and a seemingly limitless supply of women who want to please him. And that's just the way he likes it. Until a brush with death causes him to rethink his priorities, and consider someone besides himself for the first time in his privileged life.

Cordelia Cross has never had it easy. Her duty to her family has her working as an assistant to a man she hates just to pay her sister's medical bills. When her arrogant boss alienates his last true friend, she finds herself promoted from schedule-managing coffee grabber, to the newest member of West’s inner circle.

Tempers, and passions, ignite as the two start spending time together, until a shocking accident puts their newfound attraction on ice. When West is faced with the toughest trial of his life, Cordelia helps him realize that he has all the tools he needs to be a force for justice.

Together, they must turn West into the hero no one ever thought he could be.

Building a Hero The Complete Trilogy eBook Tasha Black

Self-centered rich techno-magnate Westley and his PA Cordelia stumble into a convoluted plot by shadowy para-military types. They mess with the DNA of wounded war veterans to create canine shifters, and they're looking to steal nano-technology made by Westley's company to make their shifters into a bionic shifter-soldier army. World domination? Over Westley's dead body! Which very nearly happens - until his people and his nano-tech saves his life and turns him into a bionic crime-fighting superhero. OF course, he relies on Cordelia to run the company, run interference for him, and still fetch his coffee and dry-cleaning... And then they fall in love. The ups and downs of sex, romance, shifters and super-powers are entertainingly explored in author Tasha Black's sweetly tongue-in-cheek trilogy with a uniformly positive outlook on disabilities, and a mostly HEA ending.

Building a Hero The Complete Trilogy eBook Tasha Black Reviews

I always enjoy Tasha Black's books. They rock!
Reconstructed Building a Hero (Book 1). Westley Worthington is the alpha of his domain. Billionaire, spoiled , does what he wants when he wants. However, he is also extremely driven- has a great head for business, single mindedly focused when he wants something. His company has multiple divisions, one of them dealing with biomechanical prosthetics. Cordelia works for him- fetching coffee, scheduling appointments, until she gets promoted to personal assistant. She works for him to support her family and to follow the prosthetics company, to benefit her wheelchair bound sister. She is attracted to West but doesn't respect him, until he has an accident which changes the course of his life, focus and the lives of those around him. When the boss becomes the research recipient, all bets are off! The result is a hero of epic proportions and a changed man. Hot, sexy captivating read.
Augmented Building a Hero (Book 2) Excellent 2nd book in the series! Edward Dalton is in a predicament. He finds himself in unfamiliar territory with someone he used to trust. Elizabeth Sterling is beautiful, intelligent and definitely hiding something from him. Should he trust her, does he trust her? What secrets does she hide and what does they have to do with him? Wesley Worthington is undergoing his own transformation. The woman he loves- Cordelia Cross has her own doubts and doesn't know what to believe/ Can Wesley become the hero that she and her sister so desperately need and will his newfound abilities be the beginning of something beautiful or be his downfall? Fabulous story with cliffhangers......
Upgraded Building a Her (Book 3) What a great ending to the Building a Hero trilogy! Things are not always what they seem.......Cordelia and Wesley kept their distance from each other. He was playing superhero by night and pushing his prosthetics and his body to the point of no return. Cordelia was working for Peter, instead of Wes, and missing him like crazy. But what is going on in the town, and who is behind it? What a wonderful , wild roller-coaster ride of fun and mayhem! Another winning book and series by Tasha Black!
The first book was great as an appetizer. The second course was a bit lacking and the final was just downright disappointing.

When I reached 95% I was wondering how Black was going to wrap things up. There were SO many unanswered questions. She did managed to put things together - mostly. But it felt rushed.

In fact the whole series felt rushed, especially the second two books. The core relationship between Cord and West was just kind of assumed after book one. There was no more devwlopment there except a few (and I mean few) weak scenes. They were hardly ever together and the physical aspect was nonexistent. Even then things that had been the crux of both their relationship and the breakdown were never really addressed. At the end it was just like the author threw them together in a scene because she knew the readers would expect it. The chemistry and tension between the characters was just gone. Other characters that were built up suffered similar fates, as did the wonderful technology she created for our hero. Splat.

I think this was partly because Black created so many perspectives to tell her story and then kept the stories way too short for the amount of info being dumped on us. Very short chapters, jumping heads, and often moving back and forth in time created a very disjointed story that lacked continuity. The drama and tension began to feel forced, like the author herself was being forced to keep a short word count. It was weird. So much of the meat of story was skipped over and then just referred to in past tense. So sad. I want to live the excitement WITH the characters. That's why I read books. Maybe Black didn't know how to play out those scenes, maybe her editor had a proverbial hahcksaw, or maybe they thought that would somehow add to the tension, but rather than adding tension, it snapped the plotline in pieces like overly tightened guitar strings.

I got whiplash. Which was sad, because the overarching premise was fantastic. The characters were fairly dimensional. The setting was well thought out. It just all got jumbled together like she put her chapters in a playlist and hit shuffle.

Ah well. I've read much worse. And I've read much better - The 1st book and all its dramatic potential, for instance. Had my hopes not been so high from that, maybe I wouldn't have been let down so far.
I absolutely enjoyed this series ! I had never read any of Ms. Black's books , but I thoroughly enjoyed these. Looking forward to more .
I loved all the characters of this series. I felt so many emotions reading this series. Joy, suspense, and enlightened. So much more, a great story line. You will love this box set!!!
Really great series. I received the first book free. I was hooked on this one, had to have t h e other two.
Loved this series, especially seeing that it slightly connects with her other series. I would love more of hero's.
I was a little unsure about this series when I read the basis, but Tasha Black did an excellent job. You don't read about many bionic men, but the cross between action and passion between West and Cordelia kept me wanting more.
